On the same trip in the Bangkok Old City we have encountered a fleet (only two are visible in this shot) of the Imperial Long Boats. These boats were used to travel along the Chao Phraya river that crosses Bangkok.
standing there it made me think of the Pharoh Khufu’s celestial barge that was discovered in his tomb which according to modern archaeology was buried to assist him in ascendance to the next life.
